The Wall That Heals, a traveling exhibit which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, has arrived at West Point - The U.S. Military Academy. During the opening ceremony this morning at Trophy Point, Superintendent of the United States Military Academy, Lt. Gen. Robert Caslen, Jr. remarked upon those who fell during the Vietnam War and the countless contributions and sacrifices of the millions of Americans who have served our nation.
Also known as The Moving Wall, the exhibit is a 250-foot replica of the original memorial in Washington, D.C. and includes a mobile education center. The Moving Wall will remain at West Point from Oct. 22-25.
The Moving Wall honors the millions who served their country during the Vietnam War and the tens of thousands who gave their lives during the many years of conflict. The exhibit gives those who have not been able to make the journey to our nation’s capital the opportunity to renew their relationship with veterans of all wars and honor and respect those who have fallen.
The exhibit is free and open to the general public and located on Trophy Point, in the area just behind Sedgwick statue.
