Somers Voted PL Goalie of the Year; Five Named All-League

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its men's lacrosse postseason honors on Monday and senior Sam Somers was voted the Goalie of the Year and All-Patriot League First Team, while John Glesener and Austin Schultz joined him on the top squad. In addition to the first team honorees, Cole Johnson and Jimbo D'Aprile were selected as All-Patriot League Second Team performers to give the Army West Point men's lacrosse team five all-league players for 2015.

Somers is third nationally with a 7.19 goals against average after leading the nation in that category as a junior before suffering a season-ending injury late in 2014. He was a two-time second team honoree prior to 2015. The senior has kept the Black Knights in every contest as only two opponents have scored more than 10 goals against Army West Point this season and none has tallied more than a dozen. Full Story»
