Society of American Military Engineers Meeting

The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) had their second meeting of the semester and had the pleasure to host MAJ Ruth Mower as a guest lecturer. She discussed her assignment with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) based in New York City as the 553rd Engineer Detachment, Forward Engineer Support Team-Advanced (FEST-A) Commander when she deployed to Europe in 2017 to assist with Operation Atlantic Resolve by conducting infrastructure assessments and initial design, as well as providing other needed technical engineering support. Her comments were well received and helped reinforce the significance and link between an engineering educa-tion and the ability to use these skill sets during an Army career.
