Twenty-six cadets enrolled in Aquatic Science participated in a trip section to the Hudson River Estuary (transition zone between river and sea environments). Activities focused on field methods in water chemistry and biodiversity assessment. The day culminated with a three-hour educational sail aboard the Sloop Clearwater. Data on weather, tide, turbidity, water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and biodiversity were shared to connect the observations at West Point to the larger Hudson estuary ecosystem.
