The American Politics Stem hosted its second-annual Course Director's Conference. The course introduced incoming first-time course directors to the administrative requirements involved and served as a refresher for all course directors on the art of crafting course objectives which nest with the program's goals. Rachel Sondheimer and Russ Lachance led a workshop on assessment, which was followed by small group breakout sessions so course directors could develop assessment plans for their courses next academic year. The conference also included several panel discussions where participants asked senior faculty questions on topics such as student evaluation, course flow, classroom activities, and syllabus design. In all, this course ensured next year's course directors were equipped with the tools they need to provide the best instruction possible to students in AP courses and that all courses were aligned with the AP program's overall goals.
