Dr. Nikolay Shkolnik, CTO for LiquidPiston, a novel engine company based out of Bloomfield, CT, visited cadets in Mechanical Power Plants to discuss his uniquely designed engine, the X engine as well as how his company uses the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) to solve real problems. Cadets were exposed to a novel problem-solving process as well as LPIs novel rotary engine.
