The Pistol Team traveled to West Union, Ohio to conduct two and a half days of very intensive tactical live-fire training on 6-8 April 2018. Training was conducted with both the M4 Carbine and handguns and included proficiency drills for both carbine and pistol, Close Quarters Battle drills, clearing three different live-fire shoot houses, force-on-force training using airsoft pistols to practice building clearing tactics, shooting on the move by individual and buddy team, a stress shoot that included a medical response component, and building clearing operations in low light conditions using flashlights. The training at Tactical Defense Institute was excellent and all Pistol Team members are much better prepared to handle real world tactical operations.
