Professor John Melkon of the Center for the Study of Civil-Military Operations (CSCMO) was a featured presenter representing UMSA at the United States Army Central Command Regional Land Forces Intelligence Symposium (USARCENT) in Tampa, Florida. The focus of the event was to promote greater understanding among partner nations. Thirteen Middle Eastern countries sent representatives to the Symposium ranging from First Lieutenants to Staff Major Generals. Mr. Melkon spoke on The Power of Information Sharing among Public Private Partnerships and urged greater cooperation among the allied nations to overcome operational challenges against hostile and aggressive nations in the region. The Center for the Study of Civil-Military Operations is building an educational partnership with USARCENT that will include research contributions, internships and exercise/operational opportunities.
