Men's T&F with Strong Finish at Larry Ellis

The Army West Point men's track and field team finished day two of the Larry Ellis Invitational with solid performances. "Across the board I was happy with our speed power people. The guys in the high jump, Tyrese in the triple jump, and the sprint hurdle guys all looked good and put up some marks that are at or near the top of the Patriot League," said head coach Mike Smith. Track Events: Andre Vaughn placed second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.66. Kedrin Jefferson followed in sixth with his time of 10.80. Tyler Davis finished eighth clocking in at 10.82, and Ben Sims' time of 10.83 was good for ninth. Jefferson finished third in the 200m, clocking in at 21.53 and was followed by Vaughn in fourth at 21.55. Kevin Dyer placed seventh with his time of 21.80. Field Events: Jeff Giannettino won the high jump clearing a height of 2.04m. Bryce Samuel finished fifth with his height of 2.04m and Bernard Jenkins seventh with 2.00m. Bullen finished eighth in the long jump with a distance of 6.83m. Tyrese Bender took third with 14.40m in the triple jump. Bradley Gibson placed eighth with 13.51m.
