Cadets Earn Distinguished Delegate Honors at NUMALCadets of the USMA Model Arab League club traveled to Georgetown University in the nation's capital to compete in the National University Model Arab League competition (NUMAL), representing the Republic of the Sudan. Cadets debated in sessions of the Joint Defense Council, Council on Palestinian Affairs, Council on Political Affairs, Council of Arab Social Affairs, Council of Arabic Economic Affairs, Council of Environmental Affairs, and a Special Council on Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons. Cadets Jacqueline Parga '19 and Jordan Lawson '21 earned Distinguished Delegate Honors for their skillful representation in the Joint Defense Council. The club qualified for the National University competition at the Northeast Regional Competition held in Boston, MA. Graduating members from the Class of 2018 include Cadet-in-Charge Joseph Bosse, Kai Kizzie, Macauley Hoyt, Jonathan Lee, Joseph Conroy, and Saud bin Saud – their knowledge and experience will be missed. Cadets Jacqueline Parga '19 and Joel Macklin '19 assume the mantel of leadership of the club as it turns its attention to recruiting new members to replace the Class of 2018 cohort.
