West Point Hosts Duathlon at Buckner

The West Point Triathlon Team hosted the annual West Point Duathlon at Camp Buckner. Representing the Department of Systems Engineering were CPT Christine Krueger (Race Director) and CDT Madison Jones. The duathlon consisted of a 2-kilometer run followed by a 22-kilometer bike and concluded with a 5-kilometer run. Over 80 athletes braved the freezing temperatures representing over 10 schools from the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference as well as a few dozen local athletes. By completing this race, the collegiate athletes qualified to compete in USA Triathlon Collegiate Nationals held later this month at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
