Cadets studying abroad in Morocco ventured into the Sahara Desert on a program-sponsored visit to the village of Merzouga. They experienced first-hand the cultural distinctions between North and South Morocco, Moroccans of Arab descent and those mainly populated by the country's native people, the Amazigh. As part of the cultural excursion, the cadets learned a couple of Tamazight phrases and tasted khobz medfouna, the area's traditional dish.
