Tyler Davis of the Army West Point men's track and field team was named the Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. The firstie from Cleveland, Tenn., was awarded the honor after his outstanding performances at the Army-Navy Star Meet in the 100-meter dash, 4x100-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay and the long jump. At this meet, Davis won the 100-meter dash in 10.51 seconds, which is the second fastest time for this event at Army. He was part of the winning 4x100-meter (40.18 seconds) and 4x400-meter (3:17.89) relays, and placed-second in the long jump with a leap of 6.91-meters. In the Patriot League, he currently has the second-best 100-meter dash time, ranks fourth in the long jump, and his 4-x100-meter team has the top-time in the League along with the 46th best in NCAA Division I.
