DEP Hosts Cadet Works in Progress

The Department of English and Philosophy (DEP) hosted its final Works in Progress (WiP) Colloquium speaker series event. This final event of the academic year was perhaps the most important one, as it featured eight department majors presenting their Senior Thesis projects. Each cadet was given the opportunity to discuss his or her project and the main arc of the argument, a productive and interesting general question and answer period followed. Most encouraging were the individual conversations between cadets and faculty members that emerged after the formal portion of the event concluded. Each thesis writer engaged in a substantive discussion with someone other than his or her thesis advisor, surely helping to enrich all cadets' theses.
