Firstie Janae McNeal of the Army West Point women's basketball team was tabbed the Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. McNeal received her first career weekly honor after shining against American, the Patriot League's top team, scoring a career and game-high 28 points on 11-of-21 (52%) shooting. The 28 points was the most scored by a Cadet in a game since Feb. 4, 2017 and was the second 20-point performance in her career. The firstie guard also corralled a season-best nine rebounds and dished out six assists. The Spotsylvania, Va., native has reached double-figure scoring in each of her previous three outings, while shooting the ball at a 48-percent clip. On the season, she is averaging 8.1 points, 4.3 boards and a team-best 2.9 assists per contest. McNeal and the Black Knights return to the court on Wednesday night when they welcome Lafayette to Christl Arena for a 7 p.m. league tilt. Read More
