The Engineering Psychology program recently invited Dr. Ben Sawyer, MIT AgeLab, to give a talk on the past, present, and future of automation. This yielded enlightening conversations on the extent to which we all rely on automation in our lives, and what consequences - good and bad - come along with it. To top off the talk, the cadets were invited to examine a semi-autonomous car with several self-driving technologies and learn about the features that may soon be the future of driving for all of us. Dr. Sawyer is currently planning to host E-Psych cadets and faculty for a visit to MIT AgeLab in Spring 2018.
