The Center for Faculty Excellence held a faculty workshop titled “Conducting Classroom Research to Improve Teaching” in the Haig Room, Jefferson Library. Contributing speakers Dr. Barry and Dr. Carter shared their experiences on how to conduct rigorous classroom research including: Choosing relevant topics; Collecting and analyzing data; IRB approval; Lessons learned; and Publishing findings. The bottom line is that classroom research can be used to develop us as both teachers and scholars.
