Dr. David Frey, Director of the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, lectured to cadets in the History of the Military Art, on Operation Barbarossa and Nazi Ideology. Dr. Frey debunked the myth of the “clean Wehrmacht” and the notion that the Nazis’ war against the Jews was separate from the war against the Soviets. He explained how the deaths of tens of millions of Slavs was part of Nazi war planning, and how the German Army had transformed into an organization capable of issuing criminal orders and encouraging patently criminal behavior.
