Instructors vs. International Cadets Soccer Match

The Department of Foreign Language DFL held its annual “Instructors versus International Cadets” soccer match at Daly Field. Cadets representing a variety of nations from around the globe tried to continue their winning streak against the older, yet athletically skilled, faculty members. Led by Club OIC CDT Karlo Zangurashvili, the cadets put forth a valiant effort. To be sure, the competition was one for the ages. The score was close throughout and even tied going into the final heated moments of the game. In the end, however, the DFL instructors (rumor has it, with help from a few sympathetic cadets) prevailed. Afterwards, members from the two sides shook hands and congratulated each other on a match well played. Although everyone left satisfied, the cadets could be heard whispering their comeback strategy for the next contest as they exited the field.
