Triathlon Team at the Westchester Triathlon in Rye, NY

The Army West Point Triathlon Team competed in the Westchester Triathlon in Rye, New York. The Westchester Triathlon is an Olympic distance event consisting of a 1500-m swim, 40-km bike, and 10-km run. Teresa Groton ’18 was the first female athlete to finish the race in a field that consisted of both age group competitors and Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference (NECTC) triathletes. The West Point females swept the collegiate podium with Payton Boylston ’20 and Hannah White ’20 finishing second and third respectively. Jacob Slife ’18 was the first triathlete to finish the race and was the top collegiate male finisher.
