The Deputy Director of the Combating Terrorism Center, Mr. Brian Dodwell, together with the Director of Research at the Combating Terrorism Center, Dr. Daniel Milton, were invited to provide the keynote address to a conference hosted by the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Leadership from U.S. Customs and Border Protection at JFK Airport in New York City traveled to West Point to lecture to cadets in the Combating Terrorism Center’s SS464: Homeland Security and Defense. The CBP guests discussed their work on border protection efforts both at the airport, which supports a high volume of incoming international flights in addition to domestic traffic, and throughout the United States. They also provided cadets with examples of individuals being successfully interdicted, questioned, and searched by CBP officials at the airport.
