Epps Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

Freshman Rex Epps was selected as Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday after netting a pair of goals last week to help the Army West Point men's soccer team go 1-0-1. Epps was also named Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for his performances. The Patriot League Rookie of the Week and AAA Athlete of the Week honors are both the second of Epps' career. Epps tallied the game-winning goal in Army's 2-0 shutout of Stony Brook on Oct. 18. He scored in the third minute against the Seawolves on an assist from senior Nick Williams. The freshman also scored in a 2-2 draw against Loyola on Oct. 22, finding the back of the net on an assist from Alex Jaroscak in the 28th minute to tie the game at 1-1. Read More
