Army improves to 7-5-1 after the win, while Stony Brook drops to 7-5-2. Freshman Rex Epps scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season and now ranks tied for first in the Patriot League in the category. Freshman keeper Justin Stoll stopped a season-high nine shots to preserve his fourth shutout of the year. Tuesday marked the first-ever meeting between Army and Stony Brook. Epps' eighth goal of the year is the most for an Army player in a single season since Thomas Obaseki (USMA '01) scored nine goals during the 1998 season. Epps' strike came 2:59 into the match and marks Army's quickest goal to begin a game this season.
