BS&L Class of 1983 Distinguished Lecture Series

BS&L’s Class of 1983 Distinguished Lecture Series hosts GEN(R) Wes Clark and MG(R) Yom Tov Samia. The Behavioral Science and Leadership Department hosted GEN(R) Wes Clark and MG(R) Yom Tov Samia as part of the departments Class of 1983 Distinguished Lecture Series. During the visit, GEN Clark and MG Samia engaged with Cadets during PL300, toured Jefferson Hall, dined with Cadets in Washington Hall, and engaged in a focused leadership discussion. During the leadership discussion, GEN Clark and MG Samia shared reflections of their combined 60 years of military service across varied continents and periods of time. Three themes emerged from the conversation: 1) Necessity of preparation 2) Responsibility to develop Soldiers and 3) Service as a great opportunity. The Class of 1983 DLS exists to provide an opportunity for Cadets to advance the study and practice of leadership at the Academy through meaningful engagement with influential leaders from all sectors.
