WEST POINT, NY - Senior infielder Kasey McCravey was named the Patriot League Player of the Week by College Sports Madness after the team participated in the Seahawk Softball Bash in Wilmington, N.C. "Kasey earns any special recognition she gets," said head coach Michelle DePolo. "Even if she or the team is having an off day she contributes in many different ways. She fought off a lot of pitches this weekend and got on base with singles a great deal."
The Scottsdale, AZ native led the team in hitting with a .389 average, going 7-for-18 on the weekend. McCravey tallied two runs for the Black Knights and had the team's second-best on base percentage at .421. Defensively, she recorded five putouts and had 13 assists. The Cadets are 1-4 on the season and are back in action Thursday, Feb. 18, when the team faces UC Riverside in California. Army will then participate in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic Friday and Saturday. Read More
