KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Imagine you’re visiting a museum, and a concert breaks out! That pleasant surprise happened today for visitors at the WWI museum at Liberty Memorial. And fittingly, it was the West Point Glee Club. They broke out in song in the middle of the museum…on the glass bridge over the poppy field — one of the world’s most recognized memorial symbols for soldiers who have died in conflict. “It`s definitely an emotional performance for us,” Bidwell says. “Singing in front of the people is just a phenomenal experience,” says another glee club member, David Jeong. Museum go-ers gathered around to watch and listen. “To see those young people that are so patriotic and dedicated to our country, and the setting, after seeing the WWI museum, and the words of the song, it was very moving…it made me cry,” says Esther Osbahr, who was visiting the museum.
