WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Army West Point quarterback Angel Santiago and linebacker Stephen Ricciardi were presented with the fifth annual "Lt. Eugene Evans-Lt. Col. Eli Page Howard Jr. Leadership Award," by the Pelham Hall of Honor and Sons of the American Legion Radio, Thursday at the Army Sports Hall of Fame. Ken Kraetzer of Sons of the American Legion Radio introduced the players and provided remarks about the graduating players in front of the Army West Point football staff, friends and family.
Santiago, from Fontana, Calif., rushed for 21 touchdowns during his career at Army West Point and started 22 games under center. He collected 10 rushing touchdowns in each of the past two seasons and also threw for another three scores. Santiago concluded his career with 1,601 rushing yards.
