WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Army West Point was among the schools honored for excellence in the classroom for finishing in the top 10 percent of their sport in the most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) data and received NCAA Public Recognition Awards. The Black Knights' football, baseball, volleyball and rifle teams were recognized. Army West Point's football team, an Independent, was among the 14 Football Bowl Subdivision schools to receive the award. The Black Knight's baseball and volleyball squads are part of the 101 schools celebrated in the Patriot League. The rifle squad competes in the Great American Rifle Conference.
