The Hollis award is presented annually to a cadet or group of cadets for their high quality application of Operations Research / Systems Analysis methods in solving a real-world problem. The award is named for the Honorable Walter W. Hollis, former Deputy Under Secretary of the Army for Operations Research, in recognition of his distinguished analytical service to the Army and Nation.
Marshall distinguished himself among a venerable group of finalists who demonstrated excellence far beyond their years. Marshall's analysis of the West Point Mess supply chain provided a robust suite of options for management to prioritize investment to mitigate disruptive events.
