West Point Fortification Exercise

MAJ Antonio Salinas, CPT Jim Villanueva, and CPT Claudio Innocenti led a group of Phi Alpha Theta Cadets in a simulation exercise to plan the defense of West Point during the American Revolution. Cadets received instruction on several staff roles to include: Chief of Staff, Intelligence Officer, Engineer Officer, Artillery Officer, and Naval Officer. The Phi Alpha Theta Cadets had to effectively wargame and emplace a few batteries, forts, redoubts, as well as a chain and a boom. Following the staff portion of the simulation, they visited some of the fortifications on West Point and discussed their assessments at the shore batteries.
