Cow Justin Williamson fired a 3-under 67 on the final day at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate at Alabama to help the Army West Point golf team finish 11th after the third round. The Black Knights finished with a team score of 304-299-296—899 (+59) during the three rounds of the tournament. Army improved each round and concluded the events with a 296 (+16) on the third day of competition to move up a spot on the leaderboard. Alabama took home the title with a 12-under team score.
Williamson continued his great play on Tuesday and his third-round score of 67 (-3) was tied for the best round of the day. Williamson closed out his final round with three birdies on the final four holes and had a 2-under back nine performance. He moved up 10 spots thanks to that third round and finished the tournament with an even par 210. Arkansas' Julian Perico took home the individual title by leading after both days and shot a 2-under 68 on the final day to finish 13-under par for the tournament.
Next up for the Black Knights is the 2018 Bush Cup at SMU in Dallas. The teams will tie off on Oct. 18 for the one-day event.
