Yearling Morgan Walsh and rookie Trinity Garay collected weekly honors from the Patriot League for their performances against Wagner and Marshall, the organization announced Monday. Walsh was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, while Garay earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week recognition. Both players received weekly honors for the first time in their careers.
Walsh netted her first-career goal to open the scoring against Marshall in the 12th minute after getting on the end of a through ball from Garay. The Pelham, N.H., native played in 185 of the team's 200 minutes throughout the first two games, earning the starting nod in both contests. Garay produced a game-high three points with a goal and an assist versus the Thundering Herd, including the game-tying score with 90 seconds remaining.
