Cadets AIAD on Russian Hybrid Warfare

Dr. Rob Person accompanied cadets and faculty on an Academic Individual Advanced Development (AIAD) to the three Baltic States and Ukraine devoted to studying Russian hybrid warfare. Following a week of classes and guest lectures at West Point to prepare, the group spent an intensive two weeks abroad meeting with military and government officials, academics, journalists, NGO representatives, and civil society representatives. By studying Russian "new generation" warfare, including its conventional, nonconventional, asymmetric, informational, and cyber forms, West Point cadets and faculty gained a multifaceted understanding of the challenges posed to United States and our partners by Russia's revisionist strategy and aggressive tactics. Dr. Person was one of several subject matter experts able to offer in-depth expertise on the theme of the AIAD.
