Army West Point baseball's Anthony Giachin has been selected a Collegiate Baseball Freshmen All-American announced Wednesday by the publication.
The Black Knights' third baseman hit .286 with nine doubles, three triples, two home runs and 33 runs batted in. The Livingston, N.J. native compiled 13 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-5 performance against Bryant and a 3-for-5 outing against service-academy rival Navy.
Giachin, who was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year and was a member of the All-Patriot League First Team, finished 4-for-8 in the conference championship series with five RBI to garner tournament MVP honors.
