CPT Kristen Johnson Leads Class in Bard Prison Initiative

CPT Kristen Johnson led eleven cadets in Literature: The Arts of Love and fifteen students enrolled in the Bard Prison Initiative in an exhilarating joint seminar. The class discussed the novel Exit West by Mohsin Hamid, exploring in depth the arc of a developing and deteriorating romantic partnership and the way that doors open into new areas of experience. CPT Johnson and the students deliberated over the difference between terms like "migrant," "immigrant," and "refugee" and the ways that these terms inform how we think about the movements of people on the surface of the earth.
