RRC Faculty Serve on Sandhurst Panel

MAJ Dominic Larkin and LTC Christopher Lowrance from the Robotics Research Center (RRC) served as panelists in a breakout session of the Sandhurst Conference on Monday, 9 April 2018. In line with the conference theme of “Training to Win Tomorrow’s Wars”, the pair of officers led an interactive discussion about the possibilities and challenges of integrating unmanned systems into military units. Some of the topics included the current and projected use of autonomous systems in the military, their strengths and limitations, and some considerations when training with these systems. The panel consisted of two one-hour sessions with roughly thirty participants each. The participants included ROTC cadets and international students.
