The Judo team attended a competition clinic put on by USA Judo with World and Olympic champion Tong Wen (China). Team championships: 1st Place - Men's Elite; 3rd Place - Women's Elite; 1st Place - Men's Novice; 1st Place - Women's Novice.
Elite Division Individual Champions/Runners-up and All-Americans: 1st Place/All-American, Women's 57kg: Monica Schmelzenbach; 1st Place/All-American, Men's 100kg: Sheldon Dillman; 1st Place/All-American, Men's +100kg: Jaryn Villegas; 2nd Place/All-American, Men's 60kg: Ariunbold Munkhtur; 2nd Place/All-American, Men's 81kg: Ylli Dalladaku; 2nd Place/All-American, Men's 90kg: Samir Streatfield.
There is only one first-class cadet in the above bunch, so the team is looking forward to repeat success next year while hosting Nationals. It was truly a team effort, each cadet's victories chipped away at their opponents in the team competition across all divisions. Additional results are:
