Cadets Visit Roosevelt & Vanderbilt Historic Sites

Ten cadets, CPT Lambert and Professor Watson toured the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic sites in Hyde Park, New York. Sites visited included, Vanderbilt Manor, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt home, The FDR Presidential Museum and Library, and Eleanor Roosevelt's Valkill Cottage. This trip provided cadets a deeper understanding of the achievements and consequences of America's Gilded Age, the crisis of the Great Depression, and the critical role of women in America's recovery.
