Model Arab League Dines at Toros

Eight Cadets of the Model Arab League and MAJ Zapf, dined at Toros Restaurant in Clifton, NJ. The restaurant serves traditional Turkish cuisine and beverages. The cadets enjoyed köfteler, iskender kebab, hummos, lebni, backlava, mercimek çorbası, lahana dolması with Turkish Ayran (a yogurt drink), Turkish coffee, and Turkish tea. Annually, cadets from the Model Arab League gather to experience the sights, tastes, and sounds of northern New Jersey’s Arab and Turkish communities and mark the beginning of their preparation for the National Model Arab League Competition in April. The event is a great opportunity for faculty and cadets to interact with some of the diverse cultural and linguistic communities near West Point.
