Indoor Climbing Clinic

The Army West Point Climbing Team was scheduled to go on an Ice Climbing adventure in the Catskill Mountains. The trip was cancelled due to heavy rain. Instead, an indoor clinic was held, and team members received instruction and practice with rope systems. Building on the technical foundations learned in previous sessions, cadets built anchor points on top of the climbing wall, set up Top Ropes and safely rappelled. This clinic significantly increased effectiveness of the club and refined the team’s safety skills. Each new member was paired with an experienced climber.
