Softball Claims Bounce-Back Victory in California

After dropping the opening game of the day to Stanford, 12-0, the Army West Point softball team bounced back and closed out the night with a 7-4 victory over Sacramento State on Sunday at the Mary Nutter Classic. Army claimed its second victory of the season and moved to 2-7, while Sacramento State fell to 3-5. Three Cadets recorded a multi-hit game against the Hornets, including Madison Cole who went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. It was Cole's first career multi-hit game. Emily Ballesteros drove in two with a pair of hits and a run scored in three at-bats. Snelling posted her second career two-hit game and added a run scored with an RBI. In her first collegiate start, Madison Bryant went 4.1 innings, allowing just two earned runs and fanning three batters en route to her first career win.
