Twelve cadets of the West Point Model United Nations (MUN) team traveled to Montreal, Canada to participate in the McGill Model United Nations Assembly hosted by McGill University. This conference is one of the largest on the MUN circuit, with over 1,600 delegates competing. The McMUN conference presents the West Point MUN team with the opportunity to present the United States Army and the Academy in a very positive and professional way to an international audience. Schools in attendance included Harvard, Georgetown, University of Chicago, University of Toronto, and Université de Montréal.
The conference ended with multiple individual awards given to cadets, with the entire team performing well and exercising extemporaneous speaking skills, negotiation, and cooperative problem solving with hundreds of other students. The following cadets were individually recognized for their outstanding performances: Derrick Siebman '18, Jackson Armstrong '18, Amanda Horsey '19, Dana Cody '20. The following cadets were also integral to the team's success: Rokas Dubinas '18, Cameron Hay '21, John Govern '19, Jake Stoffel '19, Jon Lowe '20, John Lorenz '19, Katarina Christianson '21, Hunter Arnold '21.
