Officers from Taiwan came to West Point to support one of their International cadets and enjoy a dinner with the cadet's sponsor family, LTC(s) Ray and Mindy Kimball. At dinner, Major Ching '08 (now serving in DC for the Taiwan Army) reminisced about classes and remembered that he had LTC Mindy Kimball as his "Dirt P" for EV203. LTC Kimball checked some old files and found a wonderful photo of CDT Ching's whole section, which happened to be her first semester as a cow rotator at West Point. It was a delightful coincidence that the Kimball family now sponsors a cadet from Taiwan, and the heart-felt appreciation was even more meaningful with the "Dirt" memories. Now Major Ching, and now LTC Kimball took a photo together for old time's sake as they enjoyed a meal in Highland Falls. It just so happens that the EV203 photo occurred the morning after a large boulder destroyed the stairs behind the "lost 50s" barracks.
