Skiera Inducted into US Lacrosse Hall of Fame
Army West Point Noto Family Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Kristen Skiera was inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Greater Baltimore Chapter Hall of Fame on Saturday. Skiera, formerly Kristen Waagbo, began her stellar career at Mt. Hebron High School where she led the team to four consecutive state titles. She was named Baltimore Sun Female Athlete of the Year, twice (2002 & 2003) and was the All-Metro Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year as a senior in 2003. The Vikings won four state titles and lost only one game during her four years. They were ranked No. 1 by The Sun every week of her career. While at Mt. Hebron, Skiera was the Howard County Player of the Year as a junior in 2002, and Howard County co-Player of the Year in 2003. In her sophomore season she was a second-team All-Metro and named Greater Baltimore regional All-American as a junior.
