The Army West Point men's track and field team completed its season opener on Saturday in Gillis Field House. Track Events Randall Hahn represented Army in the one mile run, taking second and clocking in a time of 4:42.55. The Black Knights took two of the top three spots in the 400-meter dash, with Patrick Bowen (50.88 seconds) coming in first and Jackson Holt (51.78) taking third. Army dominated the men's 800-meter run, taking the top four spots. Mark Baker led the pack with a time of 1:54.69. Tyrell Maddox (1:56.52) took second, while Alex Combs (1:56.7) took third, with Christian Wright (2:00.64) in fourth. In the 1000 meters, Jackson Sullivan led with a time of 2:31.27. Army continued to take the next three spots. Jeffery Price (2:33.35) took second, Boris Zessig placed third with a time of 2:37.36, while Brian Lujan placed fourth, clocking a time of 2:37.98.
The Army West Point women's track and field team had a strong showing at the Crowell Open on Saturday. Track Events The Black Knights captured five of the top six spots in the 60 meter hurdles. First-year Asia Chen led the way with a time of 9.17 seconds followed by Sarah Donaldson and Emily Malone with times of 9.26 and 9.49, respectively. Emma Record and Chen led the pack, in the 400-meter dash, coming in first and second. Record clocked in at 1:02.43, while Chen recorded a time of 1:02.61. Ally Martin represented Army in the 500-meter dash, taking third with a time of 1:21.70. Army took four of the top five spots in the 60-meter dash. Calli McMullen came in first with a time of 7.79 seconds, while Yasheika Beckaroo followed in second (7.80), and Bonvie Fosam in third (7.91). Morgan Chewning-Kulick took the top spot in the 1000 meters, clocking a time of 3:01.5. Kate Sanborn placed second, recording a time of 3:06.34.
