After trailing 1-0 after the first period, the Army West Point hockey team scored two tallies late in the game to power past Niagara, 3-1 on the road. The Black Knights improved to 6-1-0 on the road, which is the most road wins by any team in college hockey. It was Army's third win at Niagara in the series history. The Black Knights continued to its five-game winning streak over the Purple Eagles. Army remains undefeated (6-0) when being outshot by its opponent. Niagara led in shots 29-17 in Friday night's contest. It was the first game in the 2017-18 season that the Black Knights won when their opponent scored the first goal. Cole Bruns made 28 saves in the game for Army. Trevor Fidler netted his first goal of the year and 15th of his career. Zach Evancho scored Army's game-winner in the third period after returning to the Black Knights' lineup from a five-game absence. It was the yearling’s second game winning goal of his career and ninth goal overall. Michael Wilson posted his first empty net goal to mark his seventh of the season. Conor Andrle posted a carreer-high three assists on the night, while Nick DeCenzo and Tyler Pham also aided in tonight's goals.
