With four scorers reaching double-figures, the Army West Point women's basketball team claimed a 73-61 victory over Binghamton to open the 2017-18 campaign on Friday night at Christl Arena. With the win, Army moved to 1-0 to start the season, while Binghamton fell to 0-1. Daizjah Morris led all scorers in the game with 23 points, while her sister and fellow classmate, Destinee finished with 15 points. Libby Tacka and Madison Hovren added 11 points apiece. One of the keys to the Black Knights' win, was their ability to knock down the shot from long range. The Cadets connected on 7-of-11 (63.6%) attempts from beyond-the-arc. As a team, the Black Knights shot 47.4 percent from the field and outrebounded the Bearcats, 44-31.
