Members of the Army West Point men's tennis team competed in the main draw of the ITA East Regionals competition at Yale University. Four Black Knights represented Army in today's matches, including firsties Michael Nguyen and Gregory Shannon, along with yearlings Myles Conlin and plebe Dylan Simonsen. Michael Nguyen and Gregory Shannon opened play for Army in the doubles main draw. The pair fought hard against Quinnipiac's Alex Stern and Kyle Alper, but lost in two sets, 6-8, 6-7. Myles Conlin and Dylan Simonsen clinched their first victory as a doubles team in the ITA East Regionals. They won 6-8, 6-7 over St. Peter's John Oxner and Piotr Sowinski. Matches will resume 10/20 with Conlin and Simonsen facing Fairfield's Jeffrey Rodgers and William Font in the second round of doubles. Michael Nguyen will also take part in the singles draw against Lehigh's Harry Wang.
