BERG Selected to Present at the ACUBE Meeting

The Biology Education Research Group (BERG) has been selected to present at the 61st Annual Association of College & University Biology Educators (ACUBE) meeting. The BERG team, led by LTC Eslinger, brings together the Life Science Faculty to provide professional development in the realm of teaching and scholarship. LTC Eslinger, LTC Hill, MAJ Kent, and CPT Rodriguez performed the groundwork analysis on academic predictors of success in core biology. Efforts have extended cadet predictors of success against performance in the core STEM curriculum. Together these data can identify cadets who may benefit from additional intervention and remediation opportunities to ensure successful academic progress towards graduation as well as provide quantitative evidence for deliberate curriculum adjustments. This work, titled “Predictors of Academic Success Versus Performance in STEM Coursework” will be presented by LTC Eslinger to the ACUBE community.
