After leading Army West Point volleyball to two thrilling five-set victories, senior middle blocker Carolyn Bockrath has been named the Patriot League Athlete of the Week. The Newport Beach, Calif., native posted 4.60 kills per set on the weekend with 23 kills in both matches. Bockrath recorded just three errors across 10 sets for a .462 hitting percentage. She produced a career-high eight blocks against Navy and added two blocks. The Black Knights handed Navy its first Patriot League loss of the year and snapped an eight-game winning streak by the Mids. Army was trailing 2-0 in the match before staging its three-straight set comeback. The Cadets also defeated Lehigh in a marathon match with the fifth set going to 34-32. Army hosts Lafayette and Bucknell at Gillis Field House Friday and Saturday night both at 7 p.m.
